Where did we go wrong?

Coaching is a powerful tool that has the potential to transform lives in real and meaningful ways. However, as one of the fastest growing sectors in the world, the coaching industry is also one of the most unregulated ones. Anyone can call themselves a coach. There is no formal application or acceptance process for most life coaching certification programs. A low barrier of entry to become a coach has allowed unqualified individuals with no proper background, training, or education to provide paid coaching and consulting services. 

Not only has this led to financial scams and psychological harm, the lack of professional standards has lowered the overall quality of the coaching industry. This is why we often hear that the coaching industry is a scam. We want to change that. Having a standardized code of ethics is one important step in the right direction for making the coaching industry a safe, professional, and responsible place for everyone.
